Aloe Ferox is the only company in southern Africa (maybe the world) that contributes to the conservation of the Aloe ferox plant species by propagating seeds and transplanting them back into their natural habitat on a large scale.
2. Aloe Ferox is also the only company that uses freshly harvested aloe sap during the manufacture of personal care products. We harvest frequently, ensuring that we always have fresh aloe sap on hand. We avoid hi/ low-temperature processing because the B vitamins as well as vitamin C, are water soluble and very sensitive to heat. Heat processes, especially evaporation, radically reduce the levels of these nutrients. The vitamin C levels of plants decrease on average by 50% when frozen.
3. Evaporation is a common practice to turn plant material into dry powder. The plant material is typically heated to boiling point until all liquids have evaporated. The remainder of the plant material is then ground down into a fine powder. This powder can be stored for extended periods.
